Doomari has no user accounts. Everything it records about your matches — timings, events, Health data and GPS routes — stays on your iPhone and Apple Watch and in Apple Health. Data reaches us in exactly three ways, each described below: anonymous crash reports and usage signals; matches you choose to send us with the opt-in Contribute match data setting; and feedback you choose to send us. We never sell or share your data, and we never use it for advertising.

Who we are

Doomari is operated by Lars Kurkinen, based in Sweden, who is the data controller for the data described on this page. Questions and privacy requests: [email protected].

Health & fitness (HealthKit)

With your permission, Doomari records each match as a workout and reads it back — workout sessions, heart rate, and distance. This is stored by Apple Health on your device. Doomari never uses Health data for advertising, and it leaves your device only as part of a match you choose to send us (see below). Manage or revoke access in Apple Health → Sharing → Apps → Doomari.

Location

With your permission, your Apple Watch records your GPS route during a match so you can review it afterwards. It's saved with the workout on your device, and leaves your device only as part of a match you choose to send us. Manage access in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services.

Match data

Your matches, timings, and events are stored on your devices and sync directly between your Apple Watch and iPhone. By default they are never sent to us — the two ways a match can reach us, contributing and feedback, are both choices you make, described next.

Contribute match data — opt-in, off by default

To fix bugs and improve Doomari, you can choose to send us your finished matches. Nothing is sent unless you turn on Contribute match data in the app's Settings, and you can turn it off — and delete everything you've sent — at any time.

Send Feedback

The in-app feedback form sends us your message along with the app version, iOS version, and device model. You can optionally attach one of your matches to help us reproduce a problem. Unlike contributed matches, a feedback attachment includes the full match — with your match notes and custom names — because that context is often the point of the report; attaching is a per-report choice, and nothing is attached unless you pick a match. Feedback includes no name or email, so we can't reply to it — if you'd like an answer, email us instead. Feedback is stored in the EU alongside contributed matches, kept while we work with it, and deleted on request.

Crash reporting & anonymous analytics

To find and fix bugs and understand which features are used, Doomari sends two kinds of anonymous data to third-party services. Neither contains personal data or match data, and neither is linked to you.

Service providers

Doomari uses three service providers to process the data described above, and no others:

What we don't do

No accounts, no tracking, no advertising, and no sharing or selling of your data — ever. Crash and usage data is anonymous. Contributed matches and feedback are sent only when you choose, and we never link them to your identity.

Children

Doomari needs no account and works without sending us any personal data. The optional Contribute match data setting and feedback match attachments are for users aged 16 and over — younger referees should leave contributing off and send feedback without an attached match.

If you email us

If you email [email protected], we use your address to reply and for nothing else. It's never joined to any other data described on this page.

Changes & contact

We'll update this page and the date above if our data practices change. Questions? Email [email protected].
